Two-Hour Day Sails
Selina II offers two hour sailing trips from 10am-12noon, 12:30-2:30, and 3:00-5:00 everyday from April 26-Sept 30. Oct 1-31 hours are 11:30-1:30, and 2-4. Cost is $50pp, or $45 cash discount. Plus there is a 10% amusement tax in St. Michaels harbor, and it is customary to tip the ship's mate like a restaurant, 15%-20%. Reservations are highly recommended as we limit our guests to just six passengers for a very personalized experience.
We depart from the dock at the Harbour Inn and Marina in St Michaels and Capt. Iris gives a brief harbor tour. She talks about what you are seeing along the picturesque waterfront, the history of St Michaels and about the story of her grandfather's boat, Selina II. Then we depart the harbor and go out into the Miles River, put up sails, and follow the wind. You are welcome to participate as a working crew member, or simply sit back and relax, we're here to help you complete your historic yacht experience. Guests often ask what they should bring, we recommend comfortable shoes, sunscreen, cameras, and a light jacket in spring and fall.

Romantic Sunset Champagne Cruises
In the evenings we set sail to enjoy the late afternoon sun from 5:30-7:30pm, April 26-Sept 30. (Oct 1-31 is 4:30-6:30). Cost is $65pp, or $60 cash discount Sun-Fri, Sat $75pp. Plus there is a 10% amusement tax in St Michaels harbor, and it is customary to tip the ship's mate like a resturant, 15%-20%. Reservations are highly recommended as we limit our guests to just six passengers for a very personalized experience.
Included in these outings are a brief harbor tour. Capt Iris talks about what you are seeing along the picturesque waterfront, the history of St. Michaels and about the history of her grandfather's boat. Then we depart the harbor and go out into the Miles River, put up sails, and follow the wind. Immediately following the raising of the sails, we raise our glasses and toast the wind. You are welcome to a choice of a really easy to drink Champagne, an un-oaked Chardonnay, Cabernet Savignon, a hand made beer from the Clay Pipe brewing company called Back Fin Pale Ale, sodas and water, all accompanied by a light tray of hors d'oeuvres: carrots, sesame rounds, and black olive hummus. Guests often ask what they should wear. We recommend you come ready to go to dinner, wear comfortable shoes, and don't forget your camera.
We suggest a light jacket in spring and fall. And ladies: no heels please!

On our 1/2 day sail we can cater a simple picinic lunch or an Eastern Shore favorite, crab cakes lunch. Sailing Lessons
Congratulations on your interest in learning to sail! Or for the experienced sailor, to learn the art of the gaff rig. Because Selina II is an historic vessel, we offer a very different appraoch to learning to sail. In the two hours we spend together you can expect to learn the basics: line handling, how to raise the sail, steering the boat, reading the wind, and the physics behind what makes the boat go towards the wind. We'll cover simple boat handling, parts of a boat, a few basic knots, touch on weather, talk about rules of the road, simple four points of sail, determining proper sail set and practice tacking. You'll come away realizing you've only scratched the surface! $285 for two hours, plus there is a 10% amusement tax in St Michaels harbor, and it is customary to tip the ship's mate like a restaurant, 15%-20%

New this Season, Beer Tasting Cruises
A couple of years ago two young, talented, and enthusiastic beer brewers (Adrian & Lori) showed into St. Michaels and opened the Eastern Shore Brewery, and started brewing pretty darn good beer. Last summer we had so many guests, ask "why don't you do a beer tasting on board?", and I thought, well why knot:)?? So we are super excited to offer a tasting of several of their micro brews, delivered in the best seats in town. Or should we say on the edge of town! 
So welcome aboard Lighthause Ale, Duck Duck Goose, and Capt. Iris' favorite, their Knot So Pale Ale.
Available anytime with prior reservations, these cruises include an unlimited sampling of this great local brewery's finest. $75pp min 2 guests, or by private charter up to 6 guests $420. Our Fantastic Wine Tasting Cruises Continue on!
Two winters ago Capt Iris took a vacation to South Africa, home to some spectacular vineyards. She's always had an interest in wine, and now has the opportunity to share the experience of learning about and tasting wines in a fabulous setting. Available anytime with prior reservations, these cruises include an introduction to the basics of wine tasting, sampling 3 reds and 3 whites, scorecards for keeping track of your notes, and you get to keep your complimentary Selina II wine tasting glasses! Plus occasionally local resturantuers and chefs drop in to share their food matching ideas (and come along for a sail, oh yea....). $75pp min 2 guests, or by private charter up to 6 guests $420. Moonlight Cruises
Once a month the moon rises as the sun sets, making being on the water the most magical experience known to any sailor. We depart the dock at 8:00, returning at 10pm and go out into the Miles River, put up sails, and follow the soft evening wind. Champagne and chocolate is complimentary. $75 pp, + tax and tip.

Overnight Excursions
Overnight charters depart at 5:30 and includes the Sunset Champagne Cruise with hors d'oerves followed by a boat picnic style crabcake dinner catered on board at anchor. Overnight accomodations for up to six guests are original to the boat and include 3 double berths all together in one open salon 'Family style.' If there are four or fewer guests, you may sleep out on deck in the cockpit with the stars over your heads. In the morning hot coffee and quiche breakfast gets us started on our morning sail, and then we head back to St Michaels. Disembark time is 11 am. There is one private head, showers available shoreside. Up to four guests $900, 6 guests is $1200. Weather Policy:
It is the Captains discretion to cancel due to weather.
This decision is made 15 minutes prior to departure.
There is no charge if we do not sail due to unsafe weather.
